KIWARI DINING TABLE

The Kiwari Dining Table by Laura Kiwari is a graphic pedestal form accentuated by a 60" round limestone top. Kiwari is a Japanese word that describes the first step in calculating wood-block sizes before the initial cut, and references the strongly and precisely carved form of the table's pedestal base. To this end, careful consideration is taken before cutting the many facets of this base, which utilizes carved wood mixed with straight edges, sandblasting techniques, and dramatic proportion to create its drama. Wood base is in Matte Black finish with grey Belval limestone top from Portugal.
